Aristide Briand was a French statesman and diplomat who played a prominent role in French politics during the early 20th century. He served as the Prime Minister of France multiple times and was a key figure in the negotiation of international treaties, including the Locarno Treaties and the Kellogg-Briand Pact. Briand's efforts towards international cooperation and peace earned him the Nobel Peace Prize in 1926.
